Here’s what Ed has to say about this special moment:
“Rachel’s family originally comes from the Alsace-Lorraine region of France, near the German border. And so we went on this trip to France and Germany, and in the middle we stopped in Strasbourg, which is the largest city in Alsace. I wanted to do the proposal here since it’s a place special to Rachel, so on our first day in the city we went for a walk to the Parc de l’Orangerie. We sat down on the bank of the pond, had some wine and just watched the sunset while we talked. Then I waited for the right moment, got down on one knee and just went for it.”
