10 Date Ideas for Valentine’s Day

As the biggest day of love approaches, we know that it can be difficult to not cross the line between romantic and cheesy. Here is a list of unique date ideas for Valentine’s Day that you can surprise your significant other with, or that you can subtly hint to your partner about so they can make it happen 

1. Recreate Your First Date.
   If you have been dating for over a year, this idea will be the perfect way to romantically bring them back to where it all began. Reminiscence on that first date, how awkward it may have been, how fun it was, etc. and look back on how far you have come as a couple!
2. Helicopter Tour of the City.
   If neither of you are afraid of heights but love an adventure, we guarantee this is a unique date they will not have been on before! Bonus points if you have a special dinner planned for when you land.
3. Weekend Getaway. 
   Sometimes all you need is a weekend away- just the two of you. Book an alluring AirBnb and, once you arrive, turn your phones off. Give yourselves some much needed “you” time, and enjoy basking in each other’s company while off the grid.

   It might have been years (even decades) since the last time you went out or went out dancing, but this is a fun way to shake things up and have some fun! 8. Chocolate & Champagne at Sunset.
   If you live somewhere cold like us here in Colorado, you may be thinking “How would that work?” You would be surprised how romantic it can be to have a car picnic at a scenic outlook to watch the sunset together with some good music playing from the speakers! Grab some thermos’ and your favorite wine, some chocolate covered strawberries, and post up to watch the colorful views. 
9. Cooking Class.
   You love each other, everyone loves food, and we are willing to bet most people would either love to cook new things or love to have their partner know some new recipes. Either way, finding a cooking class that also has a bar makes for a night full of fun memories and a great Valentine’s Day!
10. RomCom Marathon. 
    Let’s face it, we all have the nights when we just want to stay in, snuggle up, make popcorn, and take it easy. If that’s the vibe you’re going for this Valentine’s Day, have the romantic comedies already purchased, get your partner’s favorite snack, and pro tip: clean the movie watching space and light some candles. You can never go wrong with a movie night!
