My husband had my engagement ring made at Mark’s Diamonds in 2014 and this is our story….

Jed proposed to me in Tin Cup, CO where his parents have had a cabin for the last 10 years and now live in full time since they’ve retired. The entire family was there and I had assumed it was just the first time all the siblings could get together for a family trip to Tin Cup, little did I know it was our engagement weekend and everyone was in on it except for me!

We took an ATV ride just the two of us to a place called Union Park, we parked the ATV up on a hill that overlooked this gorgeous valley with little rolling hills covered in sage and wildflowers.
He was holding my hand and talking about how through all the life changes we have gone through together the one thing he’s always known is how much he loved me and that we could take on anything together. I didn’t really believe that he was proposing at first. He kept going and then knelt down and asked me to be his wife. I was pretty much as surprised as someone could possibly be! I was hysterically sobbing and not sure if I even said yes, just put my hand out for the ring! He kept throwing me off his scent for months, so I was totally duped. When we returned to the cabin the whole family was waiting with noise makers and champagne, they had even decorated the little cabin we stay in with rose petals and candles. Then we just got to spend the rest of the weekend celebrating with everyone, it was so perfect!

The diamond in my ring is the one my Dad proposed to my Step Mom with. He took me with him to the jewelry store to help pick it out and it was my first crash course in diamond shopping- something that my very humble Dad was surprisingly good at.

When my Dad passed away very suddenly in 2010 my Step Mom, Julie told me that she knew the only place this ring belonged was with me. It means a great deal to me as we don’t really have any family jewelry or heirlooms to pass down in my family, and now we do. Thank you so much for helping Jed with this ring, it’s so gorgeous and still shimmers the way I remember it did when my dad and I bought it together 10 years ago.
